Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish have given evidence as defence witnesses at the sexual assault trial of actor Kevin Spacey.The Hollywood actor – famed for his roles in American Beauty, Baby Driver, House Of Cards and more – is on trial accused of 12 sexual offences against four men between 2001 and 2013 including sexual assault and indecent assault. The 63-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all accusations.Now, while on trial following the allegations, music icon Elton John has been called as a defence witness and given evidence to the court.Sir Elton and his partner were called to share their recollections about Spacey’s attendance at a 2001 party hosted by the musician and Furnish at the latter’s home in Windsor.

John testified remotely in Spacey's defense, confirming the "American Beauty" star only attended one of the musician's annual gala parties in 2001. One of Spacey's alleged victims claimed the actor assaulted him while the two were driving to John's White Tie & Tiara Ball in 2004 or 2005.

Elton John testified Monday for the defense in Kevin Spacey 's sexual assault trial. John appeared remotely from Monaco to testify after his husband, David Furnish, said Spacey only once attended the annual gala the singer held at his Windsor home. One of the alleged victims accused Spacey of aggressively grabbing his crotch while he was driving with him to the ball in 2004 or 2005. Spacey testified that he only attended the event in 2001.

Kevin Spacey took the stand Thursday in his sexual assault trial in London, denying allegations made by four accusers and telling the jury that he considered his actions with one of the men «romantic.» The Hollywood star was in the witness box for the first time during the trial, at which he's facing a total of 12 charges including sexual assault, indecent assault and one more serious charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.Spacey has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, which stem from allegations made by four men over incidents that occurred in the U.K. over a two decade period.Giving evidence at London's Southwark Crown Court, the Academy award winner said he had a consensual relationship with one of his accusers that was «somewhat intimate.» Spacey said he had been flirtatious with the man and that a relationship «developed over time.»«We enjoyed each other's company,» the actor told the court, adding that he «would have taken the lead.» Spacey said he had touched the man in «intimate» areas and that while there was consensual sexual activity between them, he denied committing any forceful act.«It did not happen in a violent, aggressive, painful way… it was gentle and, in my mind, romantic,» Spacey said.

Kevin Spacey has begun taking to the stand and defending himself against the numerous sexual assault allegations during his U.K. trial this week.

Yossman Kevin Spacey has addressed his controversial 2017 statement in which he came out as gay in response to Anthony Rapp’s accusation of sexual misconduct. “Members of the LGBTQ+ community were upset because I came out while I was responding to an accusation and now I understand why it was read that way,” Spacey told a court in London, U.K. “It wasn’t how I intended it.” The actor is giving evidence in the third week of his trial at Southwark Crown Court. He has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of sexual assault against four different men. In 2017, Rapp was the first man to come forward publicly with his allegation of sexual misconduct, telling Buzzfeed the “House of Cards” actor had made sexual advances towards Rapp at a party when Rapp was 14 years old.

Kevin Spacey is to take the witness box today as his defense in his UK sexual offences trial begins.

Kevin Spacey told police he was “baffled” and “deeply hurt” by accusations of sex assault but admitted he could have made a “clumsy pass” at one of his accusers, a court heard today.

One of Kevin Spacey’s four accusers on Thursday stood by his allegations of "horrific" verbal abuse and groping by the disgraced actor after the defense claimed parts of his testimony were "completely untrue."  The unidentified man testified in a London courtroom Wednesday that Spacey, who was the artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theatre during the time of the allegations, launched a "machine gun" of sexual and racial verbal abuse at him before grabbing his crotch "like a cobra" backstage in the early 2000s.  "It wasn’t like a caress. It was like a cobra coming out and getting hold," the alleged victim said.

An alleged victim of Kevin Spacey has said he put his allegations “in a box” initially because the Oscar-winning actor was seen as a “golden boy.”

K.J. Yossman One of Kevin Spacey’s alleged victims compared the actor to the serial killer he played in David Fincher’s feature “Se7en” in a U.K. court on Monday. The man, who can not be identified under British law, detailed the allegations against Spacey in a pre-recorded police interview, which was played to the jury at Southwark Crown Court in London. He said Spacey had groped him “a good dozen times,” including touching his inner thighs and genitals over his clothes, “smack[ing] his arse” and putting the man’s hands on Spacey’s genitals. The alleged incidents took place over the space of “a few years.” During the interview, the man also compared Spacey to his character in the Fincher film. “His character in ‘Se7en,’ he’s a bit like that,” the man said. “A bit creepy. Maybe not quite as bad.”

Jurors in the Kevin Spacey trial have been shown footage of a police interview with an alleged victim of the Hollywood star in which he said the actor “grabbed me so hard I almost came off the road.”

Prosecutors painted actor Kevin Spacey as a "sexual bully" during opening statements of his criminal trial Friday. Spacey, 63, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault, indecent assault and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.  The charges stem from allegations from four different men.
