The news of Romeo Beckham splitting up from his girlfriend Mia Regan emerged last week after calling time on their five-year relationship.
The pair, who put on a loved-up display at the Fashion Awards together in London on Monday, 4 December, took to Instagram on Sunday, 25 February to release two statements in which they revealed that they’d called time on their relationship. In an Instagram story, Mia posted an adorable snap of her and Romeo as she opened up about the split, but added that they still held “lots of love” for one another. She wrote: “This is Ro, we have grown up with each other since we were 16!! Love takes different forms & paths as you mature.
We aren’t tougher romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another… after 5 years we friendzoned each other heheh”. But it appears that there's one person in particular who really knows what the couple is going through - and that's former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona. In her exclusive column, the 43 year old opened up on 'struggles' in her first marriage that led to her and Brian McFadden parting ways.
Kerry wrote: "So, Romeo Beckham has split up from his girlfriend Mia Regan. Well, to be honest, I didn’t know he had a girlfriend until they had broken up. It is a shame though – I hope they’re both OK.
I saw they had just moved in together before splitting up and that can definitely change the dynamic in a relationship, especially when you’re young. "Sometimes you’re on top of each other too much or you don’t see each other enough. I moved in with my first husband when I was 20.
