Kerry Katona breaks down over abusive relationship but says she 'wouldn't change a thing'

Kerry Katona broke down in tears on Tuesday 11 October’s Loose Women as she recalled her abusive relationship with ex George Kay. Kerry, 42, shares eight year old daughter Dylan-Jorge (DJ) with George.The pair were married between 2014 - 2017. He passed away two years after their divorce aged 39 from a suspected drug overdose.
Speaking ahead of the launch of her upcoming third autobiography, Kerry Katona: Whole Again, Kerry spoke to the Loose Women panel – made up of Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson – of her relationship with George. She said: “My mum was waiting for the police to knock on the door and say he’d killed me. “And what I struggle with is, George is dead, I have his little girl, and this isn’t about me badmouthing anybody because we all know how many times the police were called to my house.” She went on: “It’s so difficult because I remember at one time George was covering up my bruises and my mum was looking going, ‘What are those bruises from?’ and I said, ‘Oh it’s from having rough sex mum’ and [George] looked at my mum and she knew that he knew that she knew [what was really going on].” Despite the hardships she went through, Kerry said she “wouldn’t change any of it” because she feels she is now “where I am supposed to be”.
The mum-of-five also spoke to OK! about her relationship with her ex and said he’d tried to inject their daughter DJ with heroin. “George has such a hold on me, even in death,” she told us. “I still feel scared he’s going to get me.
He was so manipulative and calculated. I’m also very aware George is dead and he isn’t here to voice his side of the story. But this is all fact – and it’s my truth.” Kerry went on to recall: “We were on FaceTime and DJ
