Kendrick Lamar to discuss ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ in new podcast series

Ethan Shanfeld Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish are set to headline England’s Glastonbury Festival, taking place June 22-26 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.McCartney and Lamar join previously announced headliners Eilish and Ross. McCartney will headline the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night, while Lamar will close out the festival on Sunday.

Glastonbury Festival has confirmed the first full line-up for 2022, including Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar joining previously announced headliner Billie Eilish and Diana Ross, who will be taking this year's Legends Slot on Sunday. 

Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have been confirmed as Glastonbury’s last two headliners for this year’s festival.They will join previously announced headliner Billie Eilish on the Pyramid Stage for this year’s event at Worthy Farm between 22-26 June.It will be the festival’s first edition since 2019, with 2020’s event (due to be headlined by McCartney, Lamar and Taylor Swift) and 2021 both cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.McCartney last week hinted that he was due to appear at the festival last week, sharing a Wordle-style teaser on his Twitter.The full-line up has also been revealed, with the likes of Foals, Sam Fender, Arlo Parks, Blossoms, Beabadoobee, Olivia Rodrigo, Girl In Red, Pet Shop Boys, Phoebe Bridgers, IDLES, Saint Vincent, Wolf Alice, Self Esteem, Sleaford Mods, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and more on the line-up. Kendrick Lamar is set to perform new music during a headline show in Milan, Italy, this summer.The Compton rapper is thought to be working on the long-awaited follow-up to his April 2017 album ‘DAMN.’, though speculation about a possible new single emerging before his performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show last weekend went unfounded.Lamar has now announced a new live date at the Ippodromo SNAI San Siro in Milan as part of the Milano Summer Festival. Snoop Dogg wants to turn legendary hip-hop record label Death Row Records, which he recently acquired, into “an NFT label”.The rapper revealed his plans to move further into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) via a Clubhouse chatroom on Monday (February 14), which was later recorded and uploaded onto YouTube. During the session, Snoop said that Death Row “will be putting our artists through the metaverse and through a whole other chain of music”.He continued: “Just like how we broke the industry when we was the first independent to be major, I want to be the first major in the metaverse so Death Row will be an NFT label”.Snoop was named the official owner of Death Row Records earlier this month.
