Monica Lewinsky is processing the «complicated feelings» she said arose after learning about Ken Starr's death. Starr, who died Tuesday, served as the independent counsel whose investigation uncovered President Bill Clinton's affair with Lewinsky, and ultimately led to Clinton's impeachment for lying under oath and obstructing justice.

Starr was back in the news in 2020 when he defended then-President Donald Trump in his first impeachment trial, referring to the proceedings as a partisan act in “the Age of Impeachment.”Lewinsky revisited her turbulent time in the spotlight by telling her side of the story as a consultant on Ryan Murphy’s “American Crime Story: Impeachment” in 2021. Said iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman: “We built this company on the foundation and vision created by Lowry Mays. He started it all from a single station in San Antonio — and look at iHeart today.” Mays was an investment banker sporting a Harvard MBA when he founded the San Antonio Broadcasting Company in 1972 with local car dealership owner Red McCombs (who went on to own stakes in the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Vikings), acquiring a single station, KEEZ, and adding WOAI in 1975. The latter was dubbed a “clear channel” station because no other operated on its frequency and its 50,000-watt signal could be heard thousands of miles away on a “clear” night.

Ken Starr, the prosecutor who led the relentless Whitewater investigation into then-President Bill Clinton and whose report on the case revealed intimate details of Clinton’s extramarital sexual relations, died Tuesday in Houston following complications from surgery. He was 76.

Probably one of the highlights of my time in public service was when I was secretary of state, staying in Buckingham Palace and talking with her about her gardens, which were a great love of hers, and actually walking around the gardens with her gardener and going to a white-tie dinner in the grand dining room. I had many really pleasant and wonderful conversations. She loved to ask questions, she was so lively and she’ll be missed.”
