Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, just celebrated a huge career achievement before his tragic death.
One day before the 49-year-old country music songwriter died by suicide, he took to Instagram to commemorate the success of Lee Brice’s fifth studio album Hey World – which he composed, produced, played acoustic guitar, and provided background vocals for – receiving a platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. He wrote in a touching post on Thursday:

Heartbreaking… As we mentioned before, the career milestone came a day before police and the Nashville Fire Department were called to a home at 1:21 p.m. on Friday and discovered the musician died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials told People at the time:
Kellie informed law enforcement that she woke up earlier that day but could not find her husband. When she and her personal assistant searched her home, they realized “the upstairs bedroom/office” would not open and called the authorities. Police eventually were able to gain entry into the room and that’s when they discovered Kyle had died from an apparent suicide. So, so sad.
At this time, the American Idol alum has not spoken out about his passing. But several of their country music friends and loved ones have offered their condolences and support to Kellie following this loss, including Jana Kramer who wrote on Instagram Stories Saturday:
Her former Pickler & Ben talk show co-host Ben Aaron penned an emotional tribute to Kylie on Instagram Saturday, writing:
He continued:
Our hearts break for Kellie and their loved ones. We’re sending them so much love during this painful time.
