Kelli Berglund, Amadeus Serafini to Star in Adaptation of Rom-Com Novel ‘Wallbanger’ at Tosca Musk’s Passionflix (EXCLUSIVE)

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Tosca Musk‘s romance-centric streamer Passionflix has found the leads for its film adaptation of Alice Clayton’s 2012 New York Times best-selling romance novel “Wallbanger.” Playing the steamy love story’s leads Caroline and Simon are “Heels” vet Kelli Berglund and “Hidden Strike” actor Amadeus Serafini. “Wallbanger” is an irresistible tale of exasperation at first sight, according to the film’s official synopsis.
Caroline (Berglund) is a young, single interior designer living in San Francisco who has been without a boyfriend for some time. She moves into an apartment that seems perfect, only to be awakened nightly by her neighbor (Serafini), Simon, aka the “wallbanger.” The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly.
Clayton’s “Wallbanger” is the first novel in her “Cocktail” series, which also includes “Rusty Nailed,” “Screwdrivered” and “Mai Tai’d Up.” Passionflix founder and CEO Musk, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Mary Pocrnic, and will direct. Clayton is an executive producer on “Wallbanger” alongside Musk.
The movie, which received an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA ahead of the end of the strike, is about to begin production in Spain, San Francisco and Atlanta. “I couldn’t be more excited to kick off production on Wallbanger with Kelli and Amadeus at the helm,” Musk said.
