Travis Scott's UTOPIA is part album and part committee of collaborators, with everyone from Beyoncé to Bon Iver among the names who contributed to the mammoth project. When the album was first released last week (July 28) the vocal guests were not listed on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music (though they were in the album's lengthy credits), leaving fans to piece together who pops up where. That siutation has changed in the interim period, so "MELTDOWN" has become "MELTDOWN" (feat.
Drake) and so on. However, one song is notably unchanged. "THANK GOD" features vocals from rapper and singer KayCyy (that's him on the "Goodbyes, that's life" hook) but, at the time of writing, his name still hasn't been added to the more visible credits.

Y’all kno what I do .. ! I’m not no background singer …. fuck Trav!!!"

Thania Garcia Travis Scott’s features-loaded “Utopia” tops the albums list this week at No. 1, touting the third-biggest week of 2023 for any album (behind Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift) and the second-largest streaming week of the year. The 19-song set expands on Scott’s discography after several years of hiatus between this and his last full-length, 2018’s “Astroworld.” That album and Scott’s image at the time were badly tarnished by the deaths that occurred at his 2021 Astroworld festival and he remained relatively low-key — appearing as a featured artist on other songs and limiting his live appearances.
A Houston-based news organisation has revealed that a deal between Travis Scott and Apple regarding the livestreaming of his 2021 Astroworld performance required the rapper to complete his set in order to receive a $4.5 million fee. That has led to some discussion about whether or not that agreement put pressure on the rapper’s team to keep his Astroworld set going despite the crowd surge that occurred in the audience which resulted in ten fatalities. The recent publication of the Houston Police Department’s report into the Astroworld tragedy has put a new focus on the big question as to why Scott’s set continued for some time after the scale of the problems within the crowd had become apparent to emergency services.
Travis Scott has received criticism for not crediting KayCyy as a featured artist on ‘Thank God’.The song is taken from the rapper’s newest album ‘Utopia‘, which boasts an illustrious list of credited artists including Beyoncé, SZA, Kanye West and Daft Punk‘s Guy-Manuel. Also making appearances are Bon Iver, The Weeknd, Sampha, Drake, James Blake, Young Thug and many more. However, KayCyy isn’t credited as a featured artist on ‘Thank God’ despite performing the song’s chorus, while it has also been reported that he wrote a sizeable amount of it.It seems apparent KayCyy agrees with the criticism.

We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired,” Live Nation wrote.Scott later said that he still intends to perform at the pyramids, but at a later date.Egypt at the pyramids will happen But due to demand and detail logisticsThey just need a bit a time to set lay on lands.
