Katie Price has revealed she tried to take her own life before she was admitted to The Priory.The 43 year old former model said her five children "saved" her after she attempted to take her own life. Katie has been incredibly candid about her battles with mental health in recent years, previously revealing in November last year that she felt suicidal before her stay. Model Katie headed to mental health care facility in September after pleading guilty to drink-driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance after a crash near her home in Sussex.

She has told the Radio Times in a candid interview: "I tried to kill myself before I ended up in the Priory.The only reason I didn’t was because of my children.
So, if my kids weren’t here I wouldn’t be here today. Fact.The kids saved me.” It comes as Katie's mother Amy has recalled how she received an "awful" phone call moments after Katie's car flipped over in September. In a new BBC documentary, titled Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next, 70 year old Amy explained how she received a call around 6.30am and revealed the star felt suicidal after the collision.
Amy tells Katie in the documentary: "It was unbelievable. "I’m speaking to this guy who actually got you out of the car and he’s saying 'I don’t know how she survived this'. "When you say to me at the time 'Why am I still here?' — it’s awful for a mother to hear that.
