Katie Price wasn't present at a court hearing as two charges against her, including a speeding one, were dropped on Monday. The two charges were heard at a case management hearing at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where they were dismissed as “no evidence was offered”.The 44-year-old former glamour model had been charged with one count of exceeding the 60mph speed limit on 13 September 2021, and one count of failing to provide information on 26 January this year. Monday’s hearing had previously been listed to take place on Tuesday but was brought forward.
Last December, she was handed a suspended sentence after crashing her BMW near her infamous 'Mucky Mansion' in West Sussex. Katie was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions to be completed within the next 12 months. She was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay £85 costs.
Posting on social media after the sentencing, Katie pledged to work on her mental health and and admitted her relief that nobody was seriously injured in the crash. She wrote on Instagram: "It's been a really difficult time and I'm incredibly sorry for my actions - I'm sincerely grateful nobody was hurt – I realise the damage my actions could have caused not only to another family, but to my own as well. Katie continued: "I'm now spending time getting better – mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.
