Katie Price has opened up about her mental health struggles, and added that her beloved horses help her too.
The 43-year-old shared a throwback photo, where she can be see riding a horse, on social media, and used the occasion to talk to her followers about mental health awareness week.
The mother of five has had a tough 12 months - from her drink driving accident, to being back in court for texting ex Kieran Hayler's fiancé - but revealed her animals and spending time outdoors help her feel better.
Taking to Instagram, the former glamour model said: "This week is mental health awareness week...I'd like to think I've always been open and honest about the struggles I've personally faced with my mental health.
"Many of you already know my story and have either made judgement or set messages of kindness and support which helps me massively day to day to look back on. "Weekly therapy helps me yes, but being with my horses and having that feeling of being outdoors on a hack in the countryside, provides me with routine and the calmness my life needs. "It's important to find that something for you, that you not only love, but benefits your overall wellbeing - for my mum gardening helps her, for my sister it's walking and for my brother and my dad it's a round of golf....just a few ideas for you."
Despite being declared bankrupt, Katie reportedly snapped up a new dressage horse from overseas and has also been looking at ponies for her youngest daughter Bunny, writes the Sun.
"She's wanted a new horse for a long time as Wallis, her current horse, is getting on a bit," a source exclusively told the publication.
