As we’ve been reporting, Kanye West is finally facing consequences for the hate he’s been spreading. The Power rapper has come under fire recently for propagating white supremacist and antisemitic ideas — notably wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt to Paris Fashion Week and threatening to go “Death Con 3 on Jewish People” on Twitter.

Adidas is the latest of Ye’s big-name partnerships to end its business relationship with the hip-hop star after he made repeated antisemitic comments and espoused disproven conspiracy theories last week. The company faced calls from all quarters yesterday to drop the former Kanye West from its list of partners.

Kanye West has been dropped by his agency CAA over his antisemitic comments. The Stronger rapper has come under fire this month for making divisive and offensive remarks about Jewish people on social media and in interviews. As a result of the controversy, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) officials confirmed on Monday that they are no longer representing Kanye as a client.

Ice Cube has taken to Twitter to refute comments made by Kanye West in an interview linking the rapper to West’s antisemitic views.In an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast – in which he made several inflammatory statements, and which has since been taken down from online platforms – West referenced Cube multiple times. At one point, West claimed that Cube had “really influenced” him to “get on this antisemite vibe”.West has made a slew of antisemitic comments over the past weeks. Kanye West recently gave an interview for an episode of The Shop – a talk show hosted by LeBron James and his business partner, Maverick Carter – however in the wake of the rapper’s recent controversies, that interview has been scrapped.In a statement shared with Andscape, Carter explained that West’s episode was shot very recently – the statement itself notes that it was taped “yesterday”, and the article was published on Tuesday (October 11), but it’s not clear exactly when the statement was given – with the rapper’s appearance on the show having been locked in several weeks earlier.“After talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped,” Carter said, “I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.”As a result, West’s episode of The Shop was scrapped entirely, and no content from his interview will be made public.
