An already-completed documentary about Kanye West has been shelved — and the production company behind the film is now speaking out against the rapper following his antisemitic comments.
MRC announced on Monday they are shelving their documentary focusing on Ye’s public-facing life and career amid his unacceptable comments about Jewish people. The company had already filmed it and was set to distribute the documentary, but they no longer wish to stand by Ye’s actions.
This comes on the heels of Ye being dropped by fashion label Balenciaga in recent days amid his ongoing controversies on social media and in television interviews.

As far as the documentary dismissal goes, MRC shared an open letter with The Wrap outlining their decision. The production company’s founders — Mordecai Wiczyk and Asif Satchu, and CEO Scott Tenley — wrote in the letter:
And they continued:
The letter also criticized other leaders and corporations who have thus far not taken action in walking away from Ye.
The founders seemed to shade Adidas over their refusal thus far to cut ties with the rapper, saying:

Kanye West is no longer a billionaire.
In what may be the toughest blow, ego-wise, in the fallout from Kanye West’s antisemitic rants last week, Forbes announced today that the rapper is no longer on its glitzy list of the world’s billionaires. A chief cause for the change was Adidas ending its relationship today with Ye, as he is now known. He had been among the first hip-hop moguls to make the list.
Even if you’re a billionaire businessman and musical icon, you can’t run away from spreading hate speech. Over the past week or so, we’ve seen the fall from grace of rapper Kanye West.
MRC said Monday that it was not moving forward with its recently completed documentary about Kanye West, the news coming amid growing criticism of the rapper/entrepreneur’s recent anti-Semitic statements.
Kanye West has refused to show remorse for his recent outbursts of antisemitism, now declaring that he made those comments because he knew they’d spur animosity.West has made a string of antisemitic comments over the past week including inflammatory posts aimed at Jews led to West being booted from Instagram and later Twitter. He would later attempt to spout similar comments on Fox News, the Drink Champs podcast, and LeBron James’ talk show The Shop.
Kanye West apologized for his recent anti-semitic comments during an interview with Piers Morgan, but he stopped short of saying that he regrets making them in the first place.
Kanye «Ye» West's appearance on a recent episode of Revolt TV's , the family of George Floyd announced their intention to file a lawsuit against the rapper, his business partners, and associates for «harassment, misappropriation, defamation and infliction of emotional distress.» The suit is seeking $250 million in damages. In a statement released on Tuesday, it was revealed that Roxie Washington, acting on behalf of her minor child — who serves as the sole beneficiary of Floyd's estate — has retained the Witherspoon Law Group and Dixon & Dixon Attorneys at Law to file the suit. The attorneys for Floyd's family have already issued a cease-and-desist letter to West after he made false claims about Floyd’s death on the podcast hosted by N.O.R.E.
Kanye West has sparked another controversy after making comments about the death of George Floyd. Floyd, a Black man, was killed following an altercation with a white police officer in Minneapolis in May 2020.Distressing footage emerged soon after Floyd’s altercation with police which showed him being restrained on the ground by Derek Chauvin, who placed his knee on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes. Despite Floyd’s continued pleas that he couldn’t breathe, Chauvin continued to apply pressure to Floyd’s neck. A lack of oxygen caused brain damage, heart failure and eventually death. In April 2021, Chauvin was found guilty of the murder of Floyd and he was sentenced to 21 years in prison. Now, in a new appearance on Drink Champs podcast, West has claimed that Floyd died from “Fentanyl” and said that a police officer’s knee “wasn’t even on his neck like that.” West made the comments while discussing Candace Owens’s documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.“They hit him with the fentanyl, if you look the guys knew wasn’t even on his neck like that,” West claimed. He went on to compare Floyd to designer Virgil Abloh, who died from cancer last November before going on to attack the “Jewish media” who he claims “blocked” him.“Tell me could you even rally run this interview? Mav (Maverick Carter) didn’t even run my interview, they blocked me out, the Jewish media blocked me out.

Kanye West‘s recent Fox News interview, the rapper makes a string of anti-Semitic comments, attacks Planned Parenthood, and shares other inflammatory sentiments. In the footage – obtained and shared by Vice – West describes Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger as a “known eugenics” [sic] who created the organisation with the Ku Klux Klan to “control the Jew population”. Sanger has long been criticised for allying herself with eugenicist organisations and sharing some of their views – which Planned Parenthood nowadays denounce as “objectionable and outmoded”.West added: “When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race Black really are.
Kanye West recently gave an interview for an episode of The Shop – a talk show hosted by LeBron James and his business partner, Maverick Carter – however in the wake of the rapper’s recent controversies, that interview has been scrapped. In a statement shared with Andscape, Carter explained that West’s episode was shot very recently – the statement itself notes that it was taped “yesterday”, and the article was published on Tuesday (October 11), but it’s not clear exactly when the statement was given – with the rapper’s appearance on the show having been locked in several weeks earlier.“After talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped,” Carter said, “I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.”As a result, West’s episode of The Shop was scrapped entirely, and no content from his interview will be made public. Carter went on to assure fans that while his show “embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions”, it and its team “have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate”.In closing, he continued: “I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.”In addition to West, the scrapped episode of The Shop was due to feature Jeezy – with whom West collaborated on the 2008 track ‘Put On’ – and shoe designer Salehe Bembury.
