revealed that Brie Larson was set to join the “Fast” family for the new film, and in a recent interview with TheWrap, Helen Mirren hinted that she was hoping that she could return to the franchise as well.Portuguese actress Daniela Melchior, who broke out playing Ratcatcher 2 in James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” is in talks to join the cast of “Fast 10,” as TheWrap exclusively reported.One actor who won’t be in “Fast X” is Dwayne Johnson, who made his lack of presence official last summer. “I wish them well on ‘Fast 9,’” the actor said.

EXCLUSIVE: Fast X, the tenth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise looks to have rounded out its all-star cast as it has set Alan Ritchson, the breakout star of the new Jack Reacher series from Amazon Prime Video, to join the cast. Just days after the news Justin Lin would be parting ways as director of the next Fast and Furious installment, sources tell Deadline Louis Leterrier is the front-runner to step in as director of Universal’s Fast X. Sources add he’s the studio’s top choice but scheduling still had to be worked out with some of Leterrier’s other projects so. a deal has not closed yet. When the shocking news broke that Lin would be leaving a week into production, studio sources were confident a replacement would be made and the pause in filming would brief and clearly that was the cast. Insiders go on to add that Studio Chief Donna Langley has had a great relationship over the years with Leterrier and he was quickly put at the top of the list of directors to approach following Lin’s departure.

An upcoming film adaptation of the video game It Takes Two has landed at Amazon, with Seven Bucks Productions coming aboard to produce alongside dj2 Entertainment, Deadline can confirm.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“It Takes Two” is getting the movie treatment, with the project now set up at Amazon for priority development, Variety has learned exclusively.Variety reported in January that the game was being adapted for the screen. As previously reported, dj2 Entertainment will produce the film, with Seven Bucks Productions now boarding the project along with Amazon Studios. Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce on behalf of Seven Bucks.
