Jurgen Klopp may have dropped a big hint on his team selection for Sunday’s huge clash against Manchester City.
Having both won their first legs in their Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night, attentions now turn towards the weekend for City and Liverpool, and a massive encounter at the Etihad. Many fans and pundits have already deemed the game to be a title decider.
While City were battling hard to see off a stubborn Atletico Madrid side, Liverpool were beating Benfica in Portugal as they put one foot in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win. Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz provided the goals in Lisbon as they gave themselves the perfect build-up to Sunday’s titanic clash.

Klopp, though, caught the eye with both his team selection and his tactics during the game. The Reds boss elected to go with a front three of Diaz, Mane and Mohamed Salah, with the latter pair being substituted early on in the second half for Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool are well stocked with their forward options following the signing of Diaz during the January window. The Colombia international has made a big impact since making the move from Porto on deadline day.
Former Reds striker Michael Owen though believes Klopp may have dropped a big hint that Diaz might not start against City on Sunday. He also feels the substitutions of Mane and Salah could be telling.
