Lady Gaga does not owe any money in relation to her dognapping case.
Earlier this year, Jennifer McBride, one of the alleged accomplices in the 2021 incident involving her two dogs and dog walker, filed a lawsuit against the 37-year-old singer seeking the $500,000 reward offered for the dogs plus $1.5 million in additional damages.
On Monday (October 2), a Los Angeles judge made a final decision regarding the reward.

Judge Holly J. Fujie ruled that Gaga does not have to pay the reward after initially ordering in July that Jennifer‘s complaint was “legally insufficient in its entirety.”
Jennifer had been given 20 days to amend her filing. She claimed that she was “in no way involved in the theft” and only “took possession” of the dogs to return them, according to documents obtained by People.
In April 2021, Jennifer and five others were arrested for the crime, which involved the stealing of Gaga‘s two French bulldogs and the shooting of dog walker Ryan Fischer, who was left critically injured. The dogs were later safely returned.
