Jonnie Irwin's widow Jessica Holmes has given a heartbreaking update on how she's coping following her husband's death. The mum-of-three admitted that it "still doesn't feel real" following his tragic passing earlier this month.
The TV property host's death at the age of 50 was announced earlier this month after a three-year battle against terminal cancer.
The former A Place in the Sun host defied doctors odds when he was given only six months to live back in 2020.
Jessica has now taken to social media a few weeks on from his sad death to share an update on how she is coping without him, the Mirror reports.
She said: "It still doesn’t feel real. The sadness is huge. I can’t even let myself think what another week without Jonnie will be like let alone another year another 10 years. I have been truly touched by all the support from friends and strangers. But nothing compares to how I have been picked up by my family and Jonnie's sisters, your support and love means everything to me.
"I am loving watching the boys enjoy some days in the sun and having a change of scene is just what we needed."
Fans rushed to the comments to offer their support as one said: "You are in so many people's thoughts. Take care," while another commented: "Oh Jess, my heart goes out to you & the boys!! Jonnie’s story was so so sad & so undeserved!! My thoughts are with you all."
"You and the boys have been in my thoughts during this time of grief. Words are not enough. Jonnie was an inspiration to so many people and he’ll never be forgotten. Sending hugs," one follower posted and another added: "It’s good to see a post from you. I find it hard to imagine how sad you must be. You are incredibly brave."
