Experts say there is no evidence to suggest people could catch coronavirus from their pets after a tiger in the US tested positive for Covid-19.

A tiger at New York City’s Bronx Zoo has become the first animal of its kind to test positive for the novel coronavirus.

Songwriter and singer Christopher Cross has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The 68-years-old musician took to his Instagram handle two days ago and announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus. The Grammy Award winner said that he felt it was important to make people aware of how dangerous the virus is. "I'm sorry to report that I am among the growing number of Americans, who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus," he began.

A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for coronavirus, in what is believed to be the first known infection in an animal in the US or a tiger anywhere, federal officials and the zoo said.
