Strictly Come Dancing star John Whaite has been forced to pull out of Sunday night's tour performance of the live dancing show. John, 32, has tested positive for Covid-19 on a later flow test and, despite feeling "fine", he must await the results of a PCR in isolation to determine his fate. Great British Bake Off star John, who is paired with Johannes Radebe on the tour, explained his situation to fans in a video posted to his Instagram story on Sunday.
John is seen laying in bed as he told his 309,000 followers: "I've got a little bit of bad news I'm afraid. A lateral flow this morning has come back positive so I now have to sit here in this glamorous captivity – lovely bedhead – until a result of a PCR comes back. He then joked: "That isn't something I wish the world could see because it isn't pretty darling. When you're not in sparkles and sequins in it, it ain't pretty.The real me in it, ugh, vile. "But anyway I'm sorry I can't be there, I hope you enjoy the show nonetheless and good luck to all my friends who are in the show today.
