John Stones has hailed Ederson for his sensational saves in the closing stages of their Champions League final triumph.
Manchester City emerged on a hot and sweaty night in Istanbul as the champions of Europe after overcoming a compact and combative Inter 1-0. Rodri's stupendous strike in the second half was the difference but it was so nearly a different story.
The Italian giants rallied in the closing moments as they looked to force extra-time and they should have done so. But Ederson was in their way. Romelu Lukaku had a golden chance with a free header mere yards from goal but he directed his effort towards the Brazilian who was on hand to clear the danger off the line.
The goalkeeper was also called into action in the final moments as he made a spectacular diving save to stop a last-gasp equaliser. Stones, who put in a special performance in his own right, singled out Ederson for praise in the aftermath.

"I played more of a No.8 today which I loved and obviously I'm still learning, I don't think I'm the best in there," he told BT Sport. "But I gave it my everything, I got on the ball as much as I could, tried to make things happen and I think it paid off.
"We created some chances and towards the end some key moments, Eddy saving that one off the line, if that goes in it's a different night and I don't know if we'd be stood here."
When asked to describe his emotions on the final whistle, Stones struggled to put his feelings into words. He continued: "Yeah 100 per cent [the win takes City to the next level], it was the thing we were missing.
