Joey Essex has reportedly been left "horrified and shaken" after thieves broke into his £3million home and ransacked it. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey, 31, was said to be out with friends when the burglary took place. He returned home in the early hours to discover a upstairs window in his pad was open and called the police, it has been claimed.

A source told The Sun: “Joey realised what had happened as soon as he got home with James Benwith, a friend of his. “Thieves had thoroughly ransacked the place. Joey was horrified and very shaken.
It’s made him feel unsafe in the home. “The only thing to be grateful for is he was out when it happened.” Meanwhile, Essex Police told the publication they were investing a suspected forced entry at the house. They added: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether anything was taken.” Joey moved into the pad, which he is rumoured to have paid £1.6million for, in 2014.
