Joel Osteen to host Kanye West, Tyler Perry and Mariah Carey for Easter Sunday

Mariah Carey gave a special performance on Easter Sunday that she dedicated to medical workers and first responders treating patients with coronavirus. The artist was on hand to help Pastor Joel Osteen conduct a virtual celebration of the holiday as people far and wide were forced to stay inside and not see their families in an effort to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.

Mariah Carey celebrated Easter in a very special way on Sunday night (April 13). Taking to the roof deck of her New York apartment, Carey, wearing pink bunny ears and silk floral jammies, joined thousands of other New Yorkers in paying homage to the hard-working first responders who are working long hours taking care of the city's COVID-19 patients.Clapping and cheering them at sunset, Carey joined a chorus of fellow Manhattan residents in honoring the workers at 7 p.m.

Not only is April 12 Easter Sunday, it’s also 15 years to the day since the release of Mariah Carey’s 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi, and she took to Instagram to share a musical celebration.

Joel Osteen is enlisting some big-name friends to help him celebrate Easter Sunday despite his church observing social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Lakewood Church pastor revealed to TMZ that he plans on having Mariah Carey, Kanye West and Tyler Perry on board for Sunday’s virtual service.
