In an emotional post, Joe Swash shared the reason as to why he didn’t post about his dad on Father’s Day despite wife, Stacey Solomon, paying tribute to the dad of four. His dad, Ricky, died suddenly of an undiagnosed heart condition at the age of 39, when Joe was just 11 years old. Sharing throwback photos, Joe captioned the post: “Some people have asked about my dad over Father’s Day and why I didn’t post.
I lost my dad when I was 12 and It’s still something I haven’t quite got over still. BUT this is my dad Ricky! the BEST DAD EVER!!” Fans flooded his post with heartfelt words and even pointed out that Joe was his dad’s double. One commented: “You look like him! Grief isn’t something we get over ..
it becomes a part of us and a sign of having loved and been loved,” another added: “My god you are his double, he’d be very proud of the man you’ve become,” while a third said: “You are his double!! He would be so proud xx” Joe’s wife Stacey was also amongst those that left a sweet message under Joe’s post. She said: “Best dads make the best dads.
To the moon and back Joe. X” And the love didn’t stop there as Stacey took to her Instagram post to also honour Joe for Father’s Day as she shared a video of all Joe’s best dad moments.
Captioning the emotional video, Stacey penned: “I never got to meet your dad. But he must have been the best dad in the world to have created you. Honestly Joe, you do your dad proud every single minute of every day.
You’re the most incredible father. We are the luckiest. to the moon & back Joe Joe.” In an exclusive interview with OK! last year, Joe opened up about the death of his father, revealing that losing a parent at the age of 11 has "shaped" who he is today.
