JJ Abrams’ ‘The Shining’ Spinoff Series ‘Overlook’ Not Moving Forward at HBO Max

Yesterday, it was announced by WarnerMedia that they’d added two more cast members to their cast of “Our Flag Means Death,” a pirate comedy series at HBO Max that will be led by New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi as history’s most notorious pirate, Blackbeard.

Angelique Jackson “Lovecraft Country” and “Underground” creator Misha Green and Jurnee Smollett are teaming up for a third project, taking Smollett’s “Birds of Prey” character Black Canary on a new adventure in her own standalone film.

Fred Armisen & Samba Schutte have boarded HBO Max’s pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death, joining stars Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi. The series hails from writer David Jenkins, Garrett Basch and Dan Halsted.
