Ji Chang Wook's Backstreet Rookie, Kim Soo Hyun & Seo Ye Ji in It's Okay To Not Be Okay witness rise in rating

This weekend marks SBS' drama Backstreet Rookie finale. The K-drama stars Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung in the lead.

It's a wrap! While fans discuss the stellar It's Okay To Not Be Okay Ep 13, which aired on Saturday, the cast and crew of Korean drama wrapped the filming. With Backstreet Rookie and It's Okay To Not Be Okay heading to its season finale, the ratings for both series witnessed a good rise in ratings on Saturday. Starting with Backstreet Rookie, the Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung starrer premiered its 13th and 14th episodes over the weekend.

Backstreet Rookie was under fire when the SBS drama premiered the first two episodes. Over 6000 complaints were filed against the Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung starrer after the initial few episodes featured the underaged female lead cast member kissing the lead character who was almost 30 years old.

*SPOILERS ALERT* The end of Backstreet Rookie Ep 12 saw Choi Dae-hyun's (Ji Chang-wook) ex-girlfriend Yoo Yeon-joo (Han Sun-hwa) trying to mend things between the two after she finds out how the former had given up his job to save her from getting fired.

It's Okay To Not Be Okay is turning out to be a visual treat for Kim Soo-hyun fans. The actor, who makes his comeback following the compulsory military training with the series, has been shown in different lights.

After a weekend of intense performances, It's Okay To Not Be Okay went a tad easy on us with its seventh and eighth episodes aired over the weekend. The Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji starrer continued to shed light on the mental health ailments while fans watched the lead characters' love story slowly unfold.

One of the most creatively satisfying K-dramas airing currently is It's Okay to Not Be Okay. It's not your typical love story as one would imagine it to be as it also tackles mental health and the after-effects of different syndromes like antisocial personality disorder and autism.

Backstreet Rookie has faced its fair share of criticism over the course of six episodes, but the ratings continue to be at a steady pace in spite of the few glitches here and there. For the unversed, the SBS drama is headlined by Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung.
