Jesy Nelson likes to mix her hairstyles up quite frequently, but she’s most often seen wearing her hair in corkscrew curls or in long, sleek layers. Now, she’s decided to give a brand new look a go: Pamela Anderson’s iconic messy bun. Jesy has given the Baywatch-era look her own twist by keeping her hair a glossy shade of brunette.
She shows off the style in all its glory in a series of Instagram snaps where she poses in a very Pammy-looking leopard print ensemble. “All my favourite humans in one room,” she captions the first bunch of images. She doesn’t say what the new hairstyle was in aid of, but her Instagram fans have been taking to the comment section to wish her a happy birthday, so it’s likely this was a birthday night out.
“I love this hair and look on you so muchhhhh,” comments one eager fan, while another says: “Stunning!! Jesy looks like from the sixties.” A third writes: “We need more of this look. I’ve loved everything you’ve put out but hands down this is my fave.” Jesy isn’t the first celeb to recreate this 90s look. A host of other A-listers have given the style a try, most likely after being inspired by Lily James in the Pam and Tommy biopic. The trend has even reached mega-stars like Kim Kardashian, who chose to wear the look for her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding to Travis Barker last month.
Helpfully, her hairstylist Chris Appleton recently uploaded a full tutorial on how we can recreate the style for ourselves quite easily at home. In a video shared with his 2.6 million Instagram followers, Chris demonstrates how fans can get the same look using just a few simple products: a curling iron, a claw clip and texturising spray.
