Jess Wright has spoken out about suffering with postpartum depression and recalled how she collapsed in tears as she struggled with the condition. The former TOWIE star, 36, welcomed her first child, Presley Stone Lee-Kemp, with her husband, William Lee-Kemp on 17 May this year. The reality favourite fills her Instagram with beautiful snaps of life as a mum and recently shared a number of adorable photographs of her newborn son to mark six weeks since his birth, but behind the scenes, she has been suffering with postpartum depression.
She has now opened up about her difficult time after giving birth and falling into a depression, and remembers things coming to a head when her family went to the Bahamas for her cousin’s wedding in May. “I felt so alone. I hated the thought that they were going across the world.
I felt left out and that they were all going to be having fun on this amazing holiday while I was at home with a newborn,” she told The Sun. She continued: “I was terrified, not knowing how I was going to get through it." She recalled: “I haven’t really spoken about this in depth since it happened. “Presley had troubles with his stomach and reflux, so he’d been crying a lot of the time because he was in pain, which makes you feel so helpless as a mum.” She went on: “And one night, Will found me collapsed on the stairs, inconsolable.
I didn’t know what to do with myself. "I didn’t want to be there, to be honest. I didn’t want to be in the world at that point.
