Following the news that actor and comedian Jerry Stiller died at age 92, his co-stars on both “King of Queens” and “Seinfeld” took to social media to publicly honor the late star. On Monday, Stiller’s son, actor Ben Stiller, shared the sad news of his death with the world.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander has remembered his on-screen father Jerry Stiller as “a great actor, a great man, a lovely friend” after his death at the age of 92.

Veteran actor Jerry Stiller left for his heavenly abode today. The comedy star died of natural causes and other age related ailments. His son Ben Stiller confirmed the news of his demise on his Twitter handle and wrote, "I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather,  and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad."

Comedy veteran Jerry Stiller, who launched his career opposite wife Anne Meara in the 1950s and reemerged four decades later as the hysterically high-strung Frank Costanza on the smash television show “Seinfeld”, died at 92, his son Ben Stiller announced Monday.
