Alex Trebek is once again demonstrating his generosity to those in need.

TMZ reports that Alex donated $500,000 to help Hope of the Valley build a brand new shelter.In speaking to TMZ, Ken Craft, founder of Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, said the yet-to-be-built 50,000-square-foot facility in the San Fernando Valley will house homeless seniors.  Hope of the Valley is hoping to break ground in 2021.Ken told the website that Alex's massive donation "brought him to tears."Alex and his wife, Jean, are hoping that their donation will spur others to do the same to help
