Jennifer Connelly has some high praise for her co-star. The Oscar winner recently spoke with "Extra"' to dish on what it was like to work with Hollywood legend Tom Cruise.

Jennifer Connelly will be seen — eventually — in the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic “Top Gun”, and when the movie finally does arrive in theatres she promises fans that it will have been worth the wait.

No, did not just pull off what always wanted to do: Kill off its marquee star — originally supposed to be Michael Keaton before Matthew Fox took over the role — at the end of the pilot episode. But showrunner Graeme Manson’s adaptation of Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 cult classic and the 1982 French graphic novel did just shake things up at the front of the train in a major way.

Tom Cruise always brings his A-game when it comes to his work, according to his "Top Gun: Maverick" co-star Jennifer Connelly.

“Top Gun: Maverick” producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed that Val Kilmer, who played Iceman in the original film, will be returning for the highly anticipated sequel. He’ll join Tom Cruise, who is dusting off the role that made him famous in 1986, for a sequel that sees Maverick training a group of young, fresh top gun pilots, including his old flight buddy Goose’s son.

The cult movie was directed by Parasite‘s Bong Joon-ho and will come to the online streamer soon in most territories. The series will air on TNT in the United States and Huanxi Media Group has it in China.
