Jon Favreau wasn't sure about "Iron Man" when he signed on to direct and star in the first movie. Jeanfield Swifts defender Aaron Whitehead admits clean sheets will always be more pleasing than goals.
The big centre-half found the back of the net in last weekend’s 2-0 home win against Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts.
It wrapped up the win nicely but playing his part in not conceding up the other end was what mattered most.
“The clean sheet for me is much more pleasing,” Whitehead said. “Goals are great, it’s good to help out the team in that department but my main aim is to stop the other team from scoring.
“As our attack is so strong I know that if we keep a clean sheet then we are likely to win the game.
“My goal was pretty scrappy, Ewan Moyes did really well initially with winning the header and it’s fallen nicely for me to hit home. It would have been harder to miss.”
Whitehead added: “It was a good steady performance on Saturday.
“A comfortable game where I felt we were always in control.
“The first half we had a lot of possession and were unlucky only to be the one goal up.
“The second half started the same up until the point where we scored the second. I felt that we took the foot of the gas slightly after this and Inverkeithing came more into the game, although without troubling us too much.”
Swifts travel to Dundonald Bluebell on Saturday afternoon for another Premier Division test.
“Dundonald are a strong team and especially at home,” Whitehead warned. “They had a good result away at Tynecastle so will be confident.
“They’ve been a physical team over the years and I feel that’s where one of their main strengths lies.
“If we limit their chances, especially from set pieces I’m confident we will go get a win.”
