Janey Godley is recovering in hospital after her major operation to remove a tumour.
The Scots comedian was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last November, but had her operation delayed by seven weeks after contracting coronavirus.
The 60-year-old has been sharing her health journey on social media, with her daughter Ashley Storrie, helping update followers while she was in surgery.
In the latest update, her daughter confirmed that she was sounding 'stronger' after the operation, but was feeling 'sore' and a 'wee bit overwhelmed'.
Sharing a selfie of her mum in hospital, she wrote: "Hello friends, @ashleystorrie here again. "Have spoken to mum this morning, she’s sore and feeling a wee bit overwhelmed but has been showered, moved about a bit and had some lunch.
"She sounds much stronger. Thank you again for all your love, it means so much to both of us."
On Thursday, it was revealed Janey was out of surgery after a successful hysterectomy operation.
Ashley confirmed he tumour, nicknamed 'Bunty', had 'left the building' and the surgery was a success.
Ashley said: "Mum is out of surgery and is in recovery.
"Her time in the operating theatre went relatively well, and a full hysterectomy was achieved.
"Bunty has left the building.
"Thank you so much for all your kind words, positive thoughts and prayers."
Janey's daughter Ashley also took the time to thank the NHS for helping look after her.
"Now that we’ve had a moment to breathe at the top of this hill, I’d just like to say how appreciative my whole family are for the NHS.
"Thank you, sincerely and wholeheartedly, to all the amazing people who are looking after my mother.
