Three months on since welcoming their adorable baby girl Lyra into the world, Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec have opened up about their desire to have more children in the future, as they reflected on their tough journey to welcome their first born safely into the world. Janette, 39, gave birth to her precious little one in July 2023, but in a new interview with Prima magazine, the loved up couple have revealed how their journey to parenthood hadn’t been completely smooth sailing. Reflecting on her journey to motherhood, Janette told the publication: “I still can’t believe I’m a mum.
I remember sitting at It Takes Two a couple of years ago saying, ‘Hopefully we fall pregnant, hopefully we can conceive,’ and then I’d take another test and it would be negative again, so it got to the point where we thought we’d have to deal with different ways of doing this.” She then continued: “ We went through the whole process of IVF. I took the hormones, we did the tests and I was about to start the injections – and then Lyra decided to pop up.’’ Following that first positive test, Janette then went on to explain how she announced her pregnancy to her parents last Christmas, with the couple opting for a special poignant twist to break the all important news. “We gave my family a card.
I think they thought I was going to take them to Disneyland, but instead it said, 'Dear Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie and Uncle, Merry Christmas from the newest member of the family'. And there was the scan picture,” explained Janette. “Mum was crying, Dad was crying, we were all crying.
