Janelle Monáe will headline NYC Pride Island 2020 on Saturday, June 27, at Pier 97 in New York’s Hudson River Park.
NYC Pride announced Friday morning that the Grammy-nominated “Tightrope” singer and actress (“Harriet,” “Hidden Figures”) will be part of the annual, weekend-long LGBTQ festival that will also feature appearances by Australian pop star Betty Who, 28; Brazillian singer Luisa Sonza, 21; Russian punk rockers Pussy Riot; and DJs Coco & Breezy.
