Jane McDonald has revealed how she achieved her recent weight loss which has seen the presenter slim down an impressive four stone.The 58 year old decided to transform her lifestyle and joined TV show Sugar Free Farm in the hopes she could get back on track to better health. It appears that taking part in the show worked as viewers of the TV star’s new Channel 5 series My Yorkshire have noticed Jane looking slimmer on the programme. Sugar Free Farm monitored celebrities as they went on a sugar-free diet and, after swapping certain foods out for more nutritious choices, Jane noticed the removal of one specific food group that excelled her weight loss journey. “I lost a stone and a half from taking part in the TV show Sugar Free Farm,” Jane told Express.co.uk.The cruise singer mentioned that she no longer eats “white carbs, like white flour or white pasta,” and opts for a “green smoothie” every morning filled with flax seeds, spinach, kale and mint and banana.
Aside from her weight loss, Jane’s diet change has given her boosts of energy, which she was in desperate need of at the start of joining Sugar Free Farm. “I used to eat so much rubbish. I didn’t realise how much rubbish I used to eat.
I’ve always loved a pie and I was very carbohydrate-led as I was always hungry,” the TV personality continued. “I like my life, and my schedule takes a lot of energy, but I was beginning to get quite tired and I was blaming it on age. I ate far too much and all the wrong things.
