James Martin, who hosts his own cookery show, Saturday Morning on ITV, jokingly declared that one of his latest chef guests would not be allowed to return to his programme, following a major mishap on the latest episode. On the Saturday 27 April instalment, the 51 year old was joined by a slew of fellow chefs, including Kenny Atkinson, Asma Khan and Glynn Purnell. Plus, Loose Women's Linda Robson was added to the celebrity line up for a general chit chat - and to enjoy the tasty food the various chefs were cooking up throughout the episode.
However, one particular chef, Glynn - who is also affectionately known as the Yummy Brummie - made a standout appearance, after he made a series of hysterical blunders during his stint.
The 49 year old was tasked with whipping up a mouthwatering surf and turf dish and was filmed preparing the meal with ingredients such as mussels and short rib beef. But while he was explaining the process to the cast and crew in the kitchen - and the viewers at home - Glynn and James were both unable to locate any of the spoons they had previously been using to taste the dishes. In a bizarre turn of events, Glynn then found one of the spoons after it had fallen into the sauce he had prepared.
The chef joked: "I've lost a spoon in there chef but I'm sure we'll dig it out eventually," before despairing that another one had fallen in the dish. "That one's gone in there again chef, want to grab that one out for me," he added. Following the unprecedented mistake, the duo then burst into laughter.
