Zack Sharf Digital News Director “The Sopranos” fans got thrown a curveball in 2021 when Edie Falco revealed for the first time on an Atlantic podcast that she once reunited with James Gandolfini to reprise Tony and Carmela Soprano for a bizarre clip set two years after the events of the series finale, which infamously ended with a cut-to-black that left Tony’s fate in the balance. The purpose of the clip was to help the New York Knicks basketball organization lure LeBron James to the team. Gandolfini and Falco shot the “Sopranos” reunion in 2010 as James was becoming a free agent after his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers expired.
All of the top teams in the NBA wanted James, and the Knicks came up with the idea to make a short film with “The Sopranos” stars to help sell James on the Big Apple. The video also included appearances by Chris Rock, Mike Bloomberg, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Spike Lee and more. While Falco revealed the existence of the clip in 2021, footage from it has never been found its way online until now.
On the latest episode of reporter Pablo Torre’s “Finds Out” podcast, he finally played the unearthed footage of Gandolfini and Falco’s unexpected “Sopranos” reunion. “Tony, I’m so glad we moved to New York. Life is so much better now,” Carmela tells her husband two years after the “Sopranos” finale.
“Yeah life is good here now,” Tony replies. “Even if we are in the witness protection program.” “Now we just have to find a place for your friend LeBron to live. What’s he like?” Carmela asks.

That’s what they do,” Oubre said at an April 19 news conference ahead of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, where the Knicks play the 76ers in Game 4 Sunday.“He’s talking a little bit out of his ass there and he’s wrong, because they’re real fans,” “Sopranos” star Steve Schirripa told The Post.“I don’t know who he’s talking about.
Following the massive success of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” there was a time when the Russo Brothers were the biggest filmmakers on the planet, and most fans presumed, don’t worry, they’ll be back to direct “Avengers: Secret Wars.” But much has changed in the ensuing years. The Russos, via their AGBO company, have delivered two films in that time that they themselves have directed, the drama “Cherry” with Tom Holland for Apple and the would-be Netflix franchise “The Gray Man” with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, an expensive affair that never took off with critics.

Alex Ritman How does an actor authentically and respectfully embody a legendary real-life singer on screen without it being seen as tribute act? And how do they do it when so much of that person’s life as a performer — a life that tragically ended not long ago — was played out in front of the cameras, across the media, in interviews and captured on phones? This was the task given to Sara Green, the choreographer and movement coach who worked closely with “Back to Black” star Marisa Abela to help transform her into Amy Winehouse for Sam Taylor-Johnson’s biopic, which releases in the U.K. today with StudioCanal (and in the U.S. on May 17 with Focus Features).
