Bruce Springsteen decided against having a New Jersey rest stop named in his honor.  Stars like Jon Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, James Gandolfini and six other notable Jersey names will be honored by having rest stops along the New Jersey Turnpike named after them courtesy of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the New Jersey Turnpike Authority was going to rename a handful of rest stops after notable people who are from the state.

Bruce Springsteen is refusing the offer to have a rest stop named after him.

If you’re a fan of “The Office,” you know that after Steve Carell left the series, the show found it difficult to replace him, often relying on guest stars to help carry the load. Well, eventually, the show landed on James Spader to guest star in a string of episodes, but before that, according to the hosts of the Talking Sopranos podcast, James Gandolfini was in line to appear.

It was the easiest $3 million James Gandolfini ever made.

The final two seasons of “The Office” almost looked a little more like “The Sopranos”.

Talking Sopranos” — a podcast hosted by “The Sopranos” co-stars Michael Imperioli, 55, and Steve Schirripa, 63 — it was revealed that Gandolfini had been offered a role to replace the character Michael Scott as branch manager of Dunder Mifflin on “The Office,” following Steve Carell’s departure from the NBC show in 2011.

It’s been 20 years since The Office premiered on BBC Two, and its star said in an interview this week that the original British series “would be canceled now.” Ricky Gervais now has walked back those comments, with the erstwhile David Brent tweeting they were “clearly a joke.”
