James Drury Dies: Star Of Long-Running Western ‘The Virginian’ Was 85

Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney in the past had been the subject of cruel body shaming after she gained some weight, but now she’s slimmed down in a big way. Even co-star James Kennedy was openly critical of her weight during several seasons of the show, eventually causing boss Lisa Vanderpump to fire him from DJ’ing at SUR in 2018 over his cruel treatment of Katie (though he later got his job back).  Now she’s got her trimmer body back after losing 20 pounds over the past few months.

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) — James Drury, best known for starring in the long-running Western series “The Virginian,” died Monday of natural causes. He was 85.

James Drury, who played the mysterious, nameless title character on the 1960s NBC Western “The Virginian,” died today of natural causes. He was 85. His death was announced on the actor’s Facebook page by his longtime assistant, Karen Lindsey.

James Drury, who starred as the no-name, no-nonsense foreman of the Shiloh Ranch on The Virginian, one of the longest-running Westerns in the history of television, died Monday of natural causes. He was 85.

John Benedict, an actor who appeared in The Dark Knight Rises and Aliens, has died from coronavirus at the age of 68. “It is with profound sorrow that we must announce Jay’s death on the 4th of April due to complications arising from a Covid-19 infection,” read a statement posted on his official website. The American star was known on British TV for his appearances in Emmerdale, Foyle’s War and Jonathan Creek.
