EXCLUSIVE: Jack Dylan Grazer (It franchise), Josh Segarra (Scream VI) and Billy Bryk (When You Finish Saving the World) are among the final additions to the cast of the comedy Friendship, from Fifth Season and BoulderLight Pictures. Their roles are under wraps.
As previously reported, Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd, and Kate Mara lead the cast. Other new additions include Jason Veasey, Jon Glaser, Eric Rahill, Conner O’Malley, Carmen Christopher, Craig Frank, Omar Torres, Jacob Ming-Trent, Daniel London, Whitmer Thomas, and Raphael Sbarge.
The first feature from writer-director Andrew DeYoung, Friendship follows Craig Waterman (Robinson), who enjoys his life. He likes New Balance shoes, Subway sandwiches, and Marvel movies. He lives in the suburbs with his wife, Tami, and son, Steven. He’s happy to work at Universal Digital, a company that helps brands make their products more habit-forming. Craig sees no reason to change anything or make new friends… until weatherman Austin (Rudd) moves into the neighborhood. Mysterious yet friendly, macho but vulnerable, Austin transforms everything for Craig, but Craig’s obsessive and childlike nature threatens to ruin the friendship, and possibly everything else in his life.
In addition to financing the project, Fifth Season is producing alongside BoulderLight’s J. D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules. DeYoung and Tracy Rosenblum are exec producing, with WME Independent, UTA, and Fifth Season co-repping domestic sales.
Best known for starring in Warner Bros’ Shazam! films, New Line’s It films based on the Stephen King novel, and Luca Guadagnino’s HBO series We Are Who We Are, Grazer has also been seen in films like Dreamin’ Wild and Beautiful Boy. Up next, he’ll be seen in Hamish Linklater

Kristen Wiig is officially a Five-Timer!
Kristen Wiig received a star-studded reception last night when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the fifth time allowing her to join the elite “Five-Timers Club.” “I am so happy to be back, and I am so excited because it is my fifth time hosting, so I am officially in the five-timers club,” Wiig, 50, told the excited crowd. After taking a moment to welcome the “SNL” band, the “Palm Royale” star explained the significance of the club to the gathered audience. “So I have to say as a former cast member, it is very special being a five-timer,” Wiig said shortly before being interrupted by Paul Rudd who asks the “Bridesmaids” star if he could be part of the sketch where she gets her jacket.
Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large A star-studded group of veteran “Saturday Night Live” guest hosts were on hand this evening to welcome Kristen Wiig into the “Five-Timers Club.” But much to Wiig’s chagrin, most of them haven’t matched her feat of actually hosting “SNL” five times. The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member made her fifth appearance as host — having previously hit the stage in 2013, 2016 and twice in 2020. The stolen “SNL” valor actually began with a legit five-timer: Paul Rudd, on hand to welcome her from the audience.
