Fans of ITV's Vera were left seeking answers after the series 13 finale ended with a tribute to the late Julie Burnell.
The hit drama, which first debuted in 2011, has amassed a loyal following worldwide, including in America where it was advertised on billboards and taxis in New York's Times Square last year. American fans, who had the opportunity to watch some episodes before UK viewers due to scheduling changes, have been eagerly awaiting the latest instalment of Vera.
The most recent series of the beloved detective show, which saw Brenda Blethyn reunite with original co-star David Leon, concluded on ITV at the end of January with the finale episode, Salt and Vinegar. Before ITV delighted fans with the news that DCI Stanhope and her Northumberland and City colleagues will return for more investigations in 2025, a tribute appeared on screen, reports Chronicle Live.
