Bradley Walsh issued an apology to viewer of The Chase after Mark Labbett 'gave up' and stormed off the set.
The ITV quiz show was back on screens on Wednesday night in its usual slot with four new players looking to beat the chaser.
Simon, Trudy, Gurbinder and Tom all had a successful run when they faced The Beast.
Gurbinder was first up and managed to get £4,000 back to the team.

Simon then earned £6,000, followed by Trudy who successfully added £4,000 to the potential jackpot.
Last, but by no means least, was Tom who managed to earn an impressive £7,000 in his cash builder.
He decided to stick with his middle offer and successfully took the money back to his team for a four-person final chase.
And the group managed to walk away with a share of their £21,000 jackpot after The Beast was thrown off course and lost with a few questions left to go after admitting: " I give up, well played guys."
After Bradley congratulated the contestants on the win, he then turned to The Beast for his reaction.
But it didn't end too well.
After congratulating his opponents, Mark then said "I'm off", and got up from his seat and left the set.
Looking bewildered, Bradley looked straight into the camera and said: "I apologise to all the kids watching, that is not how you should take defeat.
"You should take it magnanimously and humble, that's how you should do it.
"My team has beaten The Beast today and goes home with £21,000, bring it on."
Following the episode, Mark took to Twitter.
He penned: "Apologies to those of you disappointed with my behaviour tonight.
"My mental health was shot before that game, it was storm off or break down in tears."
