ITV journalist Gary Burgess passed away peacefully on New Year's Day after battling cancer.
The award-winning reporter had documented his journey with the disease after receiving a terminal diagnosis in 2020.
His cancer had spread to his lungs, with doctors deeming the tumours they found inoperable.
He died at Jersey Hospice on January 1, the Mirror reports.
