The streaming app ITV Hub will be scrapped and replaced with ITVX, bosses have said.
Previously, ITV Hub was the home of all ITV content, including box sets and catch-up, that users could watch for free on devices and smart TVs.
But now the new service ITVX will provide all of this, as well as "new and exclusive content" which is likely to be rolled out at the start of December, the Mirror reports.
In a statement, the broadcaster said: "At launch, viewers will have access to over 10,000 hours of content in high definition, and ITVX will also drop new and exclusive programmes every week of the year.
"Viewers can also expect the full range of ITV drama past and present to go on the service, as well as documentaries, cult classics and hundreds of blockbuster films which will all stream for free."
Some of the new shows that will be available on launch day include six-part Cold War drama A Spy Amongst Friends, provocative new teen drama Tell Me Everything and powerful period drama The Confessions of Frannie Langton.
The platform will also include all of ITV's channels, which will be available to watch live. There will also be a news section and a series of themed channels too, known as FAST channels.
Bosses have promised that the platform will boast "more content than ever before" as well as exclusively commissioned programmes for users to enjoy. ITVX will launch on December 8, and will offer both a free and paid subscription.
For those who choose to pay, they'll be able to stream content ad-free and will also be able to access the streaming site BritBox UK.
It comes as the ITV Hub was looking at a busy time of the year with the launch of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on Sunday, November 6.
