Richard Madeley is facing criticism and calls to be 'removed' from Good Morning Britain after his latest appearance on Wednesday (Nov 1). The TV presenter fronted the ITV morning news show alongside Kate Garraway, but came under fire after many complaints from viewers.
It came after journalist Ahmend Alnaouq, who is from Gaza but lives in the UK, appeared on the programme to speak to the hosts after he tragically lost 21 family members after his home was bombed whilst they slept. Speaking to Richard and Kate, Ahmend said: "Last Sunday on the 22nd October, my family were sleeping in their home.
"My father, my two brothers, my sister in law, my brother's children, three sisters and all of their children. They came to my home because they thought it was one of the safest places. When they were sleeping, at 4 or 5am, Israel bombed my house and they were all killed."

After Ahmend tragically said how 14 of his family members who died were children, Richard then responded: "Let's just go through that slowly, how close were you to your brothers?," before he answered: "Very, very close."
Viewers quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their disbelief at Richard's 'insensitive' and 'ridiculous' question, begging ITV to remove him from the programme. @benji70 said: "Can Richard Madeley just be removed from this show now! Ahmed explaining he lost 21 of his family members in Gaza and Richard asks “how close were you to your brothers” what part of that question is acceptable? [angry face emoji] #GMB."
