Big Brother star Matty Simpson has revealed that he is returning to his old job, despite soaring to fame on the ITV reality show. Over the past six weeks, fans have been gripped by the new series of the show, which Jordan went on to win. During his time in the famous house, 24 year old Matty was popular with fans before he was kicked out just before the final.
The doctor found himself in the middle of a love triangle between the eventual winner, Jordan, and finalist Henry.
Since leaving the house, he has had a complete transformation swapping his iconic curly hair, for a much shorter style. He debuted the new look during the last episode of Big Brother Late and Live last week. However, after the show came to an end on Friday, 17 November, the doctor said that he plans to return to his normal job in the “summertime.” Speaking to the Daily Star and other members of the press, Matty said: “I'm gonna be back working as a doctor in the summertime.
“I'm really excited to start back up at work. I love being a doctor, and I really care about people as I'm sure you’ve seen.” Before heading back to reality, Matty also revealed that he and his boyfriend are heading off to travel the world, as he explained that they will leave in two weeks' time for seven months of travelling. Matty said that he didn’t have any intention of getting “famous” by being on the show, he just went in for the “experience of a lifetime.” After spending six weeks in the house, Matty confessed to being “traumatised” from it, as he reflected on the show.
