ITV has reportedly decided to shelve plans for a third series of Starstruck.The talent show was a modernised version of Stars In Their Eyes and saw contestants performing as their idols in a bid to win a whopping £50,000 prize. Hosted by Olly Murs, it saw Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford as judges for series one. However, Sheridan, 42, was replaced by Shania Twain and Ronan Keating in series two due to her filming commitments elsewhere.

Naman Ramachandran Lila Rawlings, head of creative: film and TV at “Roma” filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron’s U.K.-based outfit Esperanto Filmoj, is joining British independent production company Motive Pictures as an executive producer. Rawlings’ remit at Motive will encompass both TV and film projects as the company scales its team in the wake of its first wave of productions, including the Ruth Wilson drama “The Woman in the Wall” for BBC and Showtime. At Esperanto, Rawlings oversaw a slate of projects with Sarah Solemani, Jack Thorne and Charlize Theron and served as executive producer on “The Shepherd,” one in a series of films financed by Disney, directed by Iain Softley and starring John Travolta. Previously, Rawlings was executive producer at Left Bank Pictures where she was responsible for several projects, including “Sitting in Limbo,” a BAFTA- winning drama for BBC One and “Electric Dreams” for Amazon, Sony TV and Channel 4.

BMG has acquired the recordings catalogue of The Hollies, covering releases from 1967 to the present day.In a statement, the group say: “BMG’s history as a trusted custodian of some of music’s greatest works assures we know our music and legacy will continue to live on for generations to come”.Thomas Scherer, BMG’s President of Repertoire & Marketing for New York and Los Angeles, adds: “The Hollies spearheaded the ‘British Invasion’ of the 60s, and we are delighted to have secured rights to their golden period in the US, including ‘Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)’. We are honoured to represent their continuing creative legacy”.The deal covers releases from The Hollies’ sixth album ‘Evolution’ – the first of two released in 1967 – up to their 23rd LP, 2009’s ‘Then, Now, Always’.
