Siobhan Bastible has announced her departure from Virgin Media after almost 17 years of working with the TV station.
The news anchor told EVOKE that she is taking time off to do a Masters in psychotherapy next autumn after finding the demands of the Ireland AM schedule too much.
She told us: ‘I can’t do Ireland AM anymore it’s very hard on the body. I have a lot of good friends there it is all good, I am happy with my decision and want to spend more time with the kids.’
