Gareth Southgate has admitted that he is likely to leave his post as England manager if he fails to lead his side to European Championship glory in Germany this summer.

The Three Lions face Serbia in their tournament opener on Sunday night ahead of locking horns with Denmark and Slovenia in their other two Group C games.
Since succeeding Sam Allardyce in 2016, Southgate has led England to a World Cup semi-final, a World Cup quarter-final and a first-ever European Championship final. While there is no denying he has overseen a period of progress, England are now at a juncture where they are expected to win silverware.

The 53-year-old has a plethora of talent at his disposal, meaning expectations are at an all-time high ahead of the tournament kicking off on Friday. As a result, Southgate has admitted this tournament could be his last as Three Lions boss if they fail to return from Germany with the trophy.
"If we don't win, I probably won't be here anymore," Southgate told German publication Bild. "Then it might be the last chance.
