Fontaines D.C. caught up with NME backstage at Glastonbury 2024, where we spoke about what to expect from new album ‘Romance’, their Glasto schedule clash with IDLES, and being proud of their love of nu-metal KoRn.Friday night saw the Irish post-punks play a blinding set headlining The Park Stage, receiving a glowing five-star review from NME. However, some fans were dismayed that the Glasto schedule meant choosing whether to watch them or IDLES’ stellar set at The Other Stage.“‘Clash Of The Shitans’, we’re calling it,” IDLES guitarist Mark Bowen told NME about the clash.

Glastonbury‘s site size with anywhere in the world.Manchester-based programmer Geoffrey Prytherch has created the tool, which allows users to enter a post code to the Glastonbury Map Overlap and see how walking across the festival site would compare to a neighbourhood walk.The approximately 900-acre Somerset site was found to trump other festivals around the world in sheer size including Coachella (642 acres), Leeds (600 acres) and Reading (100 acres). You can test out the map here.Prytherch, who emphasised that the map “is in no way affiliated with Glastonbury Festival” on his website, decided to build the interactive tool when an older, similar website “suddenly disappeared”, according to his blog.

Yo Gabba Gabba! is set to return to screens this summer, and will come with a star-studded musical line-up.A spin-off to the popular kids TV show which ran from 2007 to 2015, titled Yo Gabba GabbaLand!, will premiere on Apple TV+ on August 9. Glastonbury organisers have announced that this year’s edition of the festival will open with a massive drone show.Taking to the official Glastonbury X/Twitter page, organisers shared a tweet that read: “A drone show will open Glastonbury 2024 at 10.30pm on Wednesday June 26th, ahead of the traditional fireworks. Best views from the Pyramid field – get there early!”The drone show is a new addition to the festival as it usually opens with a traditional fireworks display which occurs roughly around 11pm on the Wednesday for early arrivals.

Glastonbury Festival have issued a statement to this years’ attendees, encouraging them to think carefully about the camping equipment they bring with them.In the past decade, Glastonbury has become more vigilant in their attempts to reduce the 2,000 tonnes of waste produced annually at the festival, which is held annually at Worth Farm. This year, they’re asking festival-goers to bring “sturdy camping equipment” that can be taken home and reused.“Love the farm, leave no trace,” organisers said.

The beloved Outnumbered kids look unrecognisable in a new clip, with the now grown-ups seen sporting tattoos and facial hair 10 years on from the hit BBC sitcom.The Brockman siblings reunited to launch a limited-edition digital series called ‘Rewind’ for Comic Relief’s YouTube channel.The new series sees the three youngest stars share behind-the-scenes secrets, including how the crew got the kids to behave and laugh on cue, and what it was like working with Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, who played their on-screen parents Pete and Sue. In a snippet, Ramona Marquez, 23, who played the adorable Karen, is all grown up with tattoos.
